Artist History
Episode V: A War on Rock
The warm wrath of of the 2000 summer was upon the goons, and the glamour of the new band that brought happiness to so many unguided youth had worn away. The kids wanted something new. And like thousands of dimpled ballots, the Goons, long time heroes and defenders of Rock, were thrown out. With the goons out of the way, a new empire rose up and easily took control of the impressionable kids. This new wave of evil, contemporary fascists hoped to unite the world in an effort to spotlight pop-culture personalities like Michael Bolton and Kenny G. The empire was pressing in to crush the small rebellion of rockers left from before emperial days. It was time to make a move. But where was the world to look for hope? They're beloved Goons, heroes and defenders of Rock had long since gone their separate ways. Robert had given up his dreams of one day becoming the owner of one of many fine "Video Vision" video stores after being "let-go" from his position as a video clerk due to a "glitch in the payroll department." He had instead lost his mind and had retreated into the wilds of the South-American rain forests to live amongst the monkeys that he had previously helped in the Congo. Allen, having watched the movie "Office Space" 37 times in 72 hours, found refuge only as a Navy-Seal. When asked about his recruitment he just kept clutching his rifle and muttering something about "seven-six-two millimeter... full metal jacket..." Justin, in the meantime, who had lost a leg and an eye during the battles had become a successful War-Profiteer and had made millions by selling phony bullets and grenades to empirial forces on the black market (however it should be noted that Justin lost his leg and eye in a boating accident when he fell asleep at the sail. Sadly to say, there was one who did not survive the emperial takeover. Michael Wetherbee disappeared in the midst of battling emperial forces and was never heard from again. He was declared legally "missing in action." He may be gone but his memory will live on through the Michael Wetherbee memorial statue in Lansing, Michigan. Jace had been taken prisoner by emperial forces and was rumored to have been caged like the animal that he was known (by the empire) to be. As the rumor went, the emperial forces shaved his head thinking that his hair was the source of his massive, brute, grizzly-bearlike persona. Spencer was the only Goon left who hadn't completely lost his mind or been captured by the empire. He ran a small circus sideshow outfit in which he would eat live chickens whole, to conceal his identity from others. Seeing that the world was in need of heroes and Rock was again in need of defense. The five remaining Goons banded together once again to help put an end to the contemporary facist empire and restore the days of Rock! Battles were fought and blood was shed, and in the end, the defenders of Rock emerged as the victors. The empire had been defeated and the world was now safe. But the battle goes on each day... and the GoonSquad, heroes and defenders of Rock, go on each day, Saving the world... One day at a time...
