    Artist History
The ReHab Club released it’s first album, “Crazy Man’s Heaven”, in the fall of 1996. This album was an eclectic mixture of styles. After efforts to get established record labels to back the album proved unsuccessful, Stane Galloway formed his own recording company, Retail Radio Inc and he undertook to release his own compositions. The first CD had mixed reviews. Many radio stations listened to the first track or two and then rejected the album altogether. Ironically, the album managed to stay on university charts for five months and even managed to hit #1. Songs from the album were played on several commercial stations and The ReHab Club was described as definitely, “Over the Edge.” No single song was the album’s major hit and different stations adopted different songs as their favorites. Overall, there appeared to be no consensus as to the viability of the music. If nothing else the album was either loved or hated. The second album “Mud Children” has focused on style and content. Although there is a diversity in the music, the overall theme is to provoke, probe and at times to shock the listener. The music is not simple but is rather multi dimensional. The lyrics are often hidden within the music and the words push the listener to decrypt a riddle. Even though the second album is considerably more polished, it does not lose the freshness and uniqueness that characterized The ReHab Club style. Emotional, passionate and controversial are adjectives that appropriately describe the songs. “Bullet Envy” takes a hard glaring look at suicide and killing. “Cast Off Your Spell” tackles demons both inner and external. “Make Believe” questions the meaning of truth and challenges one’s perspective of reality. Stane Galloway is the composer, lead singer, guitarist, keyboardist, percussionist, producer and engineer of the albums. In today’s technological age he has combined the technical knowledge necessary to produce music together with an acute understanding of musical composition to create songs that are truly his own.
