Artist History DORK sprang from the ashes of Mighty Bushmen, oneof San Francisco's most successful hard rock bandsof the early 90s. Dork's first live performance was on Labor Day in 1994.Now there's this *other* band who imagines themselves to be bigger dorks than we, even though we told them promptly and repeatedly -- since 1996 no less -- that their use of the name was violating our trademark rights. Sadly, we have had to sue them to rectify the situation.But get this (maybe they really are dorks!): There used to be a funny fictional story here about our popularity in Saipan (the Saipan part wasn't totally untrue) - they are trying to use it against us to claim that we "abandoned" the name! What's more -- see down below where we say something nice about the band "Thisdork" (a couple of teenagers from Texas or something) - they are trying to use that against us too! We don't know whom to hate more: the ass holes who are making us waste our recording budget on attorneys fees, or the attorneys who are helping them do it.Anyway - for the true Dorks of the world:Cowboys & Enemas was just re-released on Boris Records. It provides the lovely music you find here. Look for Dork in a smokey pub near you!
