Artist History Terry Longshore and Brett Reed formed Skin & Bones in 1994 to perform percussion music blending structured improvisation and new music. Skin & Bones' combined musical influences draw from new music, jazz, rock, funk, minimalisn, Hindustani, West African, and others; and it's compositions are sound-inspired- instruments are found, created, and combined to form new musical textures. The result of this synthesis is the unique sound of Skin & Bones, adding a new dimension to comtemporary music.
