Artist History
Craig Weston joined the faculty of Iowa State University in 1994, where he teaches composition, music theory, and electronic/computer music. Before coming to Iowa State he was a lecturer at the University of Washington. He holds degrees from Central Michigan University (B.M.) and the University of Washington (M.M., D.M.A.). Grants, awards, and commissions received include ASCAP, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Norwalk (Connecticut) Symphony, the Seattle Arts Commission, the University of Washington, Iowa Music Teachers Association, Central Michigan University, the Brunnier Museum (Iowa State University), and the American Composers Forum. His chamber, orchestral, and electronic music has been widely performed around the country, and his prose writings have been published in several music journals. He serves as Associate Editor for the journal Perspectives of New Music |
