    Artist description
Straight from the diamond-paved streets of Cleveland comes Uptown Sinclair, the intercontinental champions of the hot rock action. Uptown Sinclair is the sound of delicious melodies, tantalizing grooves, and umlaut-worthy guitar riffs all melding togethe r into a frothy blend that makes people want to have sex and spend money, though not necessarily in that order. Think of what might happen if Barry White were to front Led Zeppelin, only without all the fancy catering and those ridiculous dry-cleaning bills, and you're starting to get the picture.Ô

    Artist History
As for the band's story, guitar player Tim Parnin and guitarist/singer Dave Hill used to play together in a band called Sons of Elvis(Priority Records). When Sons of Elvis went their separate ways for all the usual showbiz reasons, Dave joined the critic ally-acclaimed and exceptionally well-dressed Cobra Verde (whose album "Nightlife" recently received four stars in Rolling Stone) and Tim went on to play guitar for ex-Faith No More/Bad Brains singer Chuck Mosely's Vanduls Ugainst Alliderasy. Before long, however, Tim and Dave got the itch to fire up the ass-kicking machine once again, so they called up Sense Field (Warner Bros.) drummer and long-time friend Rob Pfeiffer, whom they had met while attending charm school together in New York City, and talke d him into visiting Cleveland so they could whip up a few songs together. Next thing you know, noted knobtwister Mr. Colson (Smashing Pumpkins, The Urge, Walt Mink, HBO's "Reverb", Remy Zero), having heard some of Uptown Sinclair's early practice room de mo tapes, offered to produce a few songs for the band. The only thing they had to do in return was keep Colson jacked up on overpriced caffeinated beverages, so the three young men hopped into Tim's early 80's luxury sedan and headed to scenic Madison, W isconsin to put their magic on tape at the famed Smart Studios, where they got to watch TV with Garbage one day. At Smart Studios, Tim, Dave, and Rob worked long and hard with Colson, stopping only to inquire as to which bathroom Shirley Manson used most frequently and to occasionally step out for Laotian food, which none of them had ever had before. The result of their efforts is a collection of songs so darn catchy you'll have to be put on pills just to get them out of your head.Still with us? OK, th en- let's continue. Having safely secured the rock action on tape, Tim, Dave, and Rob then called up bass player extraordinaire Bill Watterson, who had just moved stateside from Dublin in hopes of realizing his showbiz dreams, to join the band since they figured it would be really great to have a sharp-dressed guy whose got some hot dance moves to stand on the left side of the stage. He plays bass too, but we already told you that at the beginning of last sentence.Currently, Uptown Sinclair- the red-hot rock ensemble that the young kids just can't get enough of- is touring their hot little asses off across this place we call America, playing shows every night that are getting men, women, and children alike so fired up that they just flat-out piss their p ants. Soon the fetching quartet will be working their way across the pond to Europe to rock the people and maybe track down a few of Bill's forgotten unmentionables. Let's just hope they have Depends over there.OK- so that's the deal. Don't say we didn't warn you, Hotpants.h
