Artist History
In the summer of 1998 three friends who had a love for music decided to get together and jam. Marc, Jay, and PJ were in different bands at the time. Jay and PJ were in Standing Order, a hardcore-punk band. Marc was looking around for some musicians to get together and play a variety of styles. PJ, Jay, and Marc were all into the local punk scene, but they always had a love for dub, dancehall, and roots reggae. They decided to start a band that had no limitations in the style they played, just good music. When they wrote enough songs and saved enough money, they went into a studio to record a demo. The CD Demo they recorded had great reviews and people were really digging it. Today Steady Ras is expanding their styles with the additioin of a DJ and percussionist. The Future for Steady Ras is now looking as bright as ever. A full album is in the future as well as a tour. |
