Artist History SIX TEN SPLIT formed in February of 1998. JOHN SEASE and JAY MATHESON had discussed putting together a side band for a long time. Jay was busy playing with HICK'RY HAWKINS and SIDE MEAT and formerly, B.O.A. Jay is the goon that runs the Jam Room recording studio and John had recorded there with the band SELF several times. This side band finally happened early 1998. Jay had known PATTI DAVIS for years through her previous bands: TURN TO STONE, TARWATER, and SPACE 13. He asked her to join the project. Drummers were hard to come by. 6/10 played with various drummers until STAN GARDNER wandered in. He had drummed with the likes of JEBEL and at the time, HH and SIDEMEAT. With the addition of Stan, everything clicked and the band recorded four months later. The rest is history...
