"The white woman with the black voice" Exploding the stereotype of conventional R&B, Louise Perryman creates a powerful vibe on stage - and in the studio - wowing both critics and audiences alike.Unofficially crowned Australia's new voice of soul, Louise's dynamic style has made her one of Sydney's busiest and certainly most prolific singer/songwriters. Such dedication and energy has attracted the cream of Australia's musicians, from the impressive Rick Price, Sydney guitar legend Peter Northcote and celebrated pianist, Bill Risby, to the unique talents of drummer/producer/MD, Kere Buchanan. The explosive vibe created by a Louise Perryman show explains her growing audience dedication and her consistent presence in the music press. Supported by knock-out players who already attract a huge fan base in their own right, the Louise PerrymanBand is really something to see. Louise's career shifted into high gear with the release of her first album "Come on-a my house" (recorded at the Sydney Opera House) which launched in 1999 to a packed audience at The Basement. Her provocative lyrical style has consistently struck the right chord with her peers and her growing audience. Since the release of her impressive debut album, Louise continues to win coveted songwriting awards and is consistently singled out to perform at showcases. She now also lists venues such as The Basement, Sydney, Australia, as part of her regular performing repertoire. The APRA "Composer Exposer" Showcase led to national exposure, with Louise's tracks featured on two compilation albums of Australia's brightest talents. With all tracks so far on her new album in progess, "Whisper My Name" already boasting songwriting awards including the 1999 Australian Songwriters Association R&B Song of the Year ("Thinkin' Too Much"), a heavy pre-release industry buzz is anticipated. Spreading her musical wings, Louise is currently spending much of her time with her guitar in acoustic mode. Once again, her versatility and ability to transcend all genres is showcased, with an acoustic CD, "Nowhere Near Eleven" anticipated to launch on MP3 mid March 2000.Also in the works is a piano and vocal album, "The Painter and The Bird", recorded with Bill Risby, due for release around the same time. From R&B to Rock, it's all raw energy delivered with a slick coating of soul.
