Artist History Dreams really do matter. Really. Alt/Rock newcomers, it's me Margaret, have made an artistic commitment to this ideal. The resultant music generates an immediate emotional connection, which is often breathtaking and always meaningful.The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by Leslie Pereira (vocals, guitar) and Paula Venise (vocals, percussion). An insightful friend who brought Leslie to see Paula's spoken word music-based performance introduced them. Lights went flashing in Leslie's head as she watched Paula perform. "I had this vision that we could write and create together and have the music come to life for both of us."What neither party could have initially known is that their musical and artistic affinity had similarly deep and personal roots. Both Leslie and Paula have braved and conquered a challenging emotional past. With defiant charm, each has forged an unwavering commitment to the nurturing and support of their hopes and the expression of their musical dreams. It is that emotional current that runs through the heart of their songs and charges the air of their live performances.
