Artist description
Blue suede should have been the name of a designer icecream, and yes, a pair of shoes but, heaven forbid, a country folk-rock band!? Don't get me wrong, like those eponymous shoes that Elvis owned, Blue Suede know how to get your feet jumping. But in the twinkling of an eye they can take you back to the cool and mellow sounds reminiscent of the days when music didn't assault your ears and the melody lingered for more than an hour. The lyrics are simple and uncomplicated, the music a gentle blend of technology and good old fashioned personal skill, and the message is clear.....kick your shoes off and forget your troubles...life's good! |

Artist History
The band began back in the 80's as "Double Exposure" with members Bruce and Jenny Schneider, Merv Hume, and Joanne Voogt. After disbanding in 1993 and moving interstate, Bruce and Jenny continued on, changing the name to Blue Suede in 1998 and teaming up with Susan Newton and David Bowerman. The music slant at this time changed from pop to more country/ folk rock. |
