Artist History
The genesus of The Fire Sermon is as follows: Bass player Ted Shank. andGuitarist Will Reising. decided to form a new band in late August on 1999. Ted had justleft Time, a mighty four-piece which highlighted the drumming of former Bl'ast, andthen Lab, monster Bill Torgerson, and upon leaving the band he called Will (the twohad been in two previous projects, Lost In Line and Locus). Right away a new ideawas born. Both wanted to be involved in a rock band which combined the energy andformat of punk rock with the attitude and overall sound of hard (classic) rock. Knowingthat Mock, a local powerhouse punk band who had several U.S. tours to their credit, was not currently playing, they asked Dave Aronovici. to help them work out somesongs. After a month of rehearsals, Loni Nelson who had sang in Locus and playedrhythm guitar in Time, heard of the project and asked if the trio needed a vocalist.Knowing full well that Loni had serious vocal capabilities, the four began rehearsing. |
