Artist History
From a humble start as an improvisational side-project in sonic experimentation, Omnia's explosive energy has sparked new excitement in the Los Angeles music scene. Combining a masterful blend of electronic-tinged rock with stirring melodic vocals, Omnia forges new ground in the scope of modern pop. Omnia's roots can be traced back to childhood friendships in San Diego. Guitarist Jeff Mackey, bassist Christopher D. "Buttons" Nichols, and drummer Robert Francis Partridge, Jr. met in elementary school. In their early high school years, they were introduced to keyboardist Sean How, and soon after, began their first musical collaborations. However, the demands of university scattered them across the country, and it would be five years before they would regroup.By chance, they all ended up living within minutes of each other in Los Angeles, and their interest in music reunited them. Without a conscious decision to become a band, the four soon had a collection of recorded material and decided they were in need of a vocalist."Goddess Wanted: Powerful female needed as vocalist to complete an ambitious, future-influenced rock project", read a small pink flyer that they blanketed across Los Angeles. In the midst of a lengthy and discouraging search, Natalie Bolton walked through the door, completing the band. A fiery and vivacious Texan with wild presence and Southern charm, Natalie added the final touch that brought Omnia from studio to stage.Within a year, the power of their live performances had generated a buzz in the industry, resulting in a high-budget video production and national television exposure. The three song EP Goddess Wanted soon followed, further demonstrating Omnia's potential as a driving force in the new rock sound. |
