Artist History
In their short history, MoNasty have moved forward in many ways. The first of those being a 5 song CD of pure hardcore bliss entitled, "Make it Happen". From that CD, recorded in the summer of 2000, the song "Bust a Vibe" was included on the Coffinz.com CD Compilation, "Coffinz.com Presents - Arizona's Heaviest Local Bands". The Coffinz.com website also reviewed "Make it Happen" and gave it a 10 of 10 rating. Furthermore, MoNasty's music has been aired on local Phoenix radio station 98KUPD.
Over the time of a year, MoNasty established themselves as one of Phoenix's premiere bands to see live. However, Phoenix couldn't contain the band for long. They have toured throughout the Southwest and are quickly gaining momentum. Most currently, MoNasty's song, "Seperate" was chosen to be included on a nationally distributed CD endorsed by Guitar Center and recorded through PhaseFour studios in Tempe, AZ.
The vibe of MoNasty is contagious and the buzz has already begun.

Press Reviews
By Steve at www.coffinz.com "I think the last track pretty much sums up this disc, "Bust a Vibe". Andwe're talking good vibes here. 5 songs of straight up heavy groove metalfrom begining to end. Frontman Mellin has his own original vocal style thatis in your face but at the same time not yelling at you, except for duringthe chorus. Now the backing vocals are in your face deep yelling with alotof power behind them. The rest of the band keeps the groove moving at asteady pace without getting old or repetitive. Andy is one of the betterdrummers i've heard. I'm familiar with the work of Stephan and Brent fromprevious bands and they still continue to impress me. The music is aggressive, pumped up, and full of energy. Look for these guys to make a big impact onthe scene when they start playing out. I'm calling this one before their first show." |
