An original imrovisational psychedelic/folk/blues/jazz/rock band featuring an amplified oboe processed through various effects pedals, and featuring many of the best musicians of the Portland, Maine area. Hoboe always has a mixed assortment of musicians and has never been the same band twice. |

Conceived in 1999 byZen Ben Meiklejohn and Doug Emery as an outlet for experimental expressions of oboe merged into a rock and roll setting, and to promote the themes of travel (especially by train!), work, and making it with barely any cash-- hobo themes! |
