Artist History Gennie: Inspired by acoustic and earthy music and vocals. Gennie is influenced by such acts as: Anni DiFranco, Fionna Apple & Tracy Chapman Aretha: This soulful R&B singer is a California native who has moved to Atlanta to pursue her goals in music at Morris Brown College. Aretha not only has talented vocal skills but also is a trained violinist, pianist and is currently studying the guitar. She is currently majoring in Business Music Administration and aspires to have a successful career in the entertainment business as well as being a recording artist. She is influenced by such artists as: Sade, Mary J. Blige, Donna Summer and Aretha Franklin. Keisha: She brings an “alternative R&B” groove feel to the group while staying true to her roots. Keisha is a dynamic songwriter and singer who is on the cutting edge of all music styles. Her styles can be compared to such acts as Groove Theory, Erykah Badu and Aaliyah. Ryan: She brings the “Alternative Pop Rock” vocals to Foxy Slim while staying true to her roots. Ryan is a talented singer/songwriter with a Christian Rock background. Her sassy, rocky vocal style can be compared to the likes of such artists as : Alanis Morisette, No Doubt and Poe.
