Artist description
Flavor Labor is an improv group, performing spontaneous creations based on interactions between the players. We strive to keep an open mind to our whims and styles, and work to meld the avalanche of ideas that we harbor. All of our material that we have recorded is live- warts and all, & we believe that through the flowing creative juices that encompass our style, we are able to capture the essence of risk taking in the all too passive music culture of today. |

Artist History
We originated in the summer of 2000 with a new approach to playing music for us. We had been working on various projects together since 1994, in primarily a song-based format, and decided to focus on a departure from the norm, and have been having a great time learning from each other ever since. |

Group Members
JOHN "THE WALL" - Beats, Vocals; An explosive array of emotions drive the backbone of Flavor Labor, with a limitless variety of influences to both shape, and color the sound. Nobody lays down the law like John.
PATRICK PALMER -Guitar; With an uncanny ear for knowing the right textures and feel for the music, Patrick is the link that binds the Flavor Labor rhythm section together, and is the light in the fog of our exploration.
TOM MATZ -Bass; Like gum on the bottom of you shoe, he brings you down into his murky world of melodic bondage, with a unique sense of phrasing, that adheres to the realm of Flavor Labor foundation.
