Artist History
Embers Left was founded in the early summer of 1999 by three enthusiastic fellows (Janne Kauppi, Olli Ojala and Tapio Kanko), who shared an ambition to create something new. Inspired by the british doom/goth-metal scene, they started to write their own material. In autumn 1999 they found Janne Boman to play bass.Their first demo cd called "Cold Reflection" was released in autumn 2000. The band got quite a good response from all over the world. There were lots of lineup changes as they had difficulties in finding a suitable leadguitarist and a keyboardist. Fortunately there were friends who could help them out at live gigs.
In autumn of 2001 they released a self financed mini cd called "Chords Of Desolation". The response was once again great from all over the world and more gigs followed.
In the early year 2002 there came time for lineup changes. Tapio Kanko got kicked out of the band due to musical indifferences and was replaced by Kalle Hytönen. They also found a leadguitarist Ville-Matti Vienola and a keyboardist Eve Kojo. Embers Left´s lineup was now complete and they were back stronger than ever. It was time to hit the studio again. Embers Left entered D-studios to record their latest effort, a three song promo cd called "Failure" (which you are probably holding at the moment). So put this new cd into your player and enjoy.
