Artist description
Formed October of 2000 in Austin, Texas, Bilirubin is highly charged with passion and power reminiscent of artists such as Pearl Jam and STP. “The
Band makes epic rock with a hint of Hole-meets-PJ Harvey…”(M. Dentler, The Daily Texan). With unsympathetic vocals, and striking rhythms,
Bilirubin adds a new energy to the modern rock of today.
After playing in bands in the Pacific Northwest, vocalist Michele Grainger and guitarist Shane Jones joined forces with bassist Ken Kemp
from Seattle, and drummer Dave Arcos from San Antonio. Take gut wrenching lyrics, hard-driving, percussive guitar, melodic bass riffs and
pounding drums and combine that with a little sorrow, frustration, and frenzy and you've met Bilirubin.
Bilirubin is already turning heads in the local Austin music scene. Creating a stir among enthusiastic and attentive crowds, the band is earning
numerous fans in the Austin area.
Bilirubin has been featured on KLBJ 93.7 FM, channel 16, and KOOP Radio, 91.7 FM. Look for Bilirubin's debut CD, "Origin", now available at
Waterloo Records and Jupiter Records in Austin, and online at http://www.bilirubin.tv.
