Artist description
With the recent popularity of "rap-core" and "heavier-is-better" genres of rock. Unchained had chosen to take the road less traveled. This five piece band hailing from St. Louis, Mo. mixes hard rock, aggressive yet melodic vocals, stage performance and showmanship to produce a sound only touched by a few newer bands. Unchained, consisting of Matt Zeiss, vocals; Corey March, guitar; Chris Ward, guitar; Buddy Mueller, bass; and Daniel Guyot, drums, have played most of the major venues and clubs in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. They have had the chance to both open for national acts as well as headline their own shows. The band has won a Monday Night Metal competition with (off air) Extreme Radio 104.1 (WXTM) and is slated to appear on an upcoming compilation CD from that competition. Unchained has seen radio airplay on the afore mentioned station as well as 105.7 The Point in St. Louis. The band is currently recording their first full length CD with independent record label/promoter SGM Records. A projected release is for Jan-Feb 2001. The first single to the disc entitled "Follow" was released this fall. There are no long term contacts pending with SGM Records. Professionalism, talent and the love for music keep Unchained a driving force in the St. Louis music scene. |
