Artist description This is a first recording venture for Washington DC. area tenor , Tony Romeo ( really Anthony Rigopoulos ). While well known for his vocalizations in the pop , rock and soul venues, few are aware of his vocal prowess in the operatic repetoir. He is now devoted to the classics as much as classic rock. Recent reviews have been positive, indicating a fine start for this young , largely self- trained tenor. Already comfortable in the recording studio environment , Mr. Romeo intends on presenting his 3 dimensional vocal sound to local Washinton D.C. area listeners , and may venture to the " Big Apple" as well. He credits the unique lustre and versitile timbre of his voice to no one but nature , saying " I could't imitate anybody if I tried, I let my mind guide and this sound just flows out..I sing, therfore: I am.." Enough said from a guy who used to be paid well to scream out rock standards! But this is not a belt nor yell : rather a serious vocal sound worthy of attention.

Artist History Tony Romeo is the product of Montgomery County , Maryland. Though this locale has it's suburban roots, it resembles a high tech mecca today. He learned to sing from listening meticulously to recordings and CDs, stuying when able and basically developing his own , personalized method. Given years of home recording and keyboard/ synth. experience with local bands, he was able to employ his skills towards reading and transcribing some classical arias and songs, made poular by the great tenors of thelast century.He currently is in search of a local opera company and like many others, hopes to present his show live for millions via internet and cable. Other future plan involve composing his own opera and scores for the musical theater .
