Artist History
Redbox is a band of multi-instrumentalist song writers. The band, based in the cowboy hell-town of Russellville, Arkansas, have written and performed dozens of songs since their formation in 1999. Their music is unique not only for the instrumentation, but also because of the song writing, which reflects the influence of old timey blues just as much as modern day rock. A rotating lineup of musicians has passed through the band contributing their own unique sounds to the mix. The music often reflects the frustration of being trapped in a place with nowhere to run to. Songs come and go like fits of manic depression tearing through the boredom of living in the conservative South. Their sound is uncensored and raw; a sound in which no hope for the future can be heard. It is pure Americana. |

Press Reviews
Lo-Fi folk along the lines of Sebadoh, but with a little more dust on its boots from rambling through the country. A cotton-belt version of the white man's blues done with guitar, harp, and plenty of hooch. -- Listen.com |
