Artist History Well here we are in the year 2001 and what do we have here? WHUT is back on track and stronger than ever. Hailing from San Antonio, TX, the guys are back together and writing the best music of their lives. Originally formed back in 1995 Whut took a musical diversion that would take them 5 years to recover from. Faced with two paths that diverged in the wood, Whut decided to travel down the one playing cover music in local clubs to earn money. The thought was that WHUT could earn money playing covers and then work on their original music during the day. Nice theory, but it didn’t work in reality.WHUT became so engrossed in making their renditions of the Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, etc. sound just like the CD, that they soon lost their focus on writing original music. So what's up with WHUT today? The band is happy to be back on track writing original music again. The original members of WHUT are all united and back together again as well. The current line up consists of Victor Flores on vocals and guitar, Michael Nasto on guitar and vocals, John Nasto on the bass, and Vinnie Jimenez on drums. “We are writing music that comes straight from within us. We don’t sound just like everything else that is going on. We’re not even sure what we want to sound like, we just try to write intensely moving music with hard guitar riffs and melodies that just hook you and never let you go.” WHUT recently completed work on their latest demo. “We chose 3 songs that highlight the diversity in our musical creativity.” Consider this DEMO an appetizer. WHUT wants to give the world a taste of their music, hoping that it will be left with an insatiable desire for more WHUT music. As for the immediate future, WHUT plans on playing all over TEXAS and Surrounding states promoting their music and gaining fans as they go.
