Artist History
We began in a barn in outstate Minnesota in the summer of 1998. After a few shakeouts in the drummer'sand singer's position, we settled on our current lineup, plus guitarist Neal Murphy. In the spring of 1999we released "One Thought at a Time," a (noticably)homemade album. Consider it a learning experience,if nothing else. That summer and fall we hosted twoFeild Fests (yes, "Feild") with several other localhigh school/college bands -- which is no mean feat in rural Minnesota unless you have a lot of country and/or cover bands lined up. We lost the1999 Kandiyohi County Fair talent show to a coupleof dancelines, but somehow soldiered on.Most of late '99 and 2000 were spent playing a smatteringof shows in the area (with one notable and disastrousexception in Wisconsin) and recording our second album.Neal left the band in the spring of 2000.It took six months longer than we thought it would, but we finished "A Shoe Shine Delight" in October 2000.Trust me, it's boatloads better than the first one. |
