    Artist description
The Disciples of Your are probably one of the most original bands in Georgia, if not the South. The musicians explore a multitude of musical stlyes and exact excellent musicianship in their syncopated riffs and breakdowns. Still, there's plenty of improvisation and quality singing, in many cases with several part harmonies.Lead and backing vocals Chachi Tuna are rich and beautiful, but the voice of Tin Water steals the show with his vocal talent for impersonation, sound effects and mimicry. Flesh E. Johnson also provides Zappa-influenced lead and back up vocals in a sort of storyteller, ringleader mode. His vintage sounding rhythm, lead fills and random but bitchin' solos are a highlight of the music. Rumple Foreskin tears it up with some fiery piano and progresses into some flamenco-style flourishes. Thick Dickenson exponetial lover extrordinair provides the perfect back-beat and Bonahm-style solos and fill work to whatever style of music he's playing. But the most impressive musician on the album is Dr. B.B. Cummin, who the album is dedicated to and who died the night the finishing touches were done on The One for Jeff Evans. His playing is astounding and has a warmth that is lost in many musicians who have played the instrument for decades. Not only is the band resplendent in musical styles and packed with great dispays of musical dexterity, it's also the funniest band thats come out in years. Think "Firesign Theatre" with killer jams.Be forewarned: This band, though of excelent quality is not for the weak of mind or the politically correct.
