Artist History Formed in the suburbian sewers of Cleveland, The Cobra Jets spawned their catchy and infectiouspunk rock. At first James, Dooley, and Special K, who have all been friends for some time, started gettingtogether and belting out Ramones songs. They honed all their rock n' roll skills by learning over 40 Ramones songs, and many other cool tunes. They soon realized that they would need a bass player, and wanted to do original songs, but keep aRamones feel to their own material. Tommy Teabagger whose band The Unflushables had broken up a few months prior, was on a madsearch to find new rock n' rollers. He placed ads everywhere and endured many try-outs that went nowhere. Finally he placed an ad at a local music store and 2 hours later the Cobra Jets called, and a legacy was born.
