Artist History
what's now know as the bell jar project has undergone various monikers & incarnations, though originally intended to be included within the mayfairgrin portfolio. however, the sounds being created were too far removed from the warm and organic nature of mayfairgrin. this was much more experimental and almost purely electronic. the focus of the compositions was not melody per se, nor even intentional melodic structure. despite some of the obvious sonic and production similarities shared with mayfairgrin, the creation process was very different. where mayfairgrin owns an equal balance of structured composition and on-the-fly improvisation, the bell jar is mostly comprised of computer-based electronic improvistion via experimentation...
