Artist description
Lamont is a musical entity, derived from sounds, smells and all things sensory. It began as an experimental project with the intent to set aside the formalities of radio and the record industries templates for mass-produced sounds. What it turned into has shattered all expectations. Based out of Arlington, Virgina (a stone throw away from funk-central Washington D.C. the go-go capitol of the world) 5 musicians that have been deeply routed in teh local music scene for over ten years came together to for a project that has a diverse spectrum of musical influences and styles. With all these ingredients Lamont delivers a dance oriented, crowd pleasing vibe that incorporates Jazz, Funk, Disco, Electronica, and a hint of Latin. |
