Artist History Freefall has been in existence, in some form or another, since June, 1986.  James Miller created the group after the break-up of his previous band, Checkered Flag.  Christopher L Webster, after returning from Austin, Texas, where he was involved with Porcelain Grind, joined in July, 1995.  A couple of years later, in May, 1997, Miller's former bandmate, James George became the bass player for the group, after stints with South 40, The George Boys, and The Younger Brothers. Most recently, James George, due to ill health, had to step down. Steve Hamm has taken up the slack since James George's departure.
