Artist description
doug & Sylvia is serialized, episodic, [mostly] fictional story. Episodes use and are many times "driven" by AWAD words served by the Wordserver of Anu Garg (a wordsmith supreme), the author'snotions about life in the bermuda rectangles of suburbia, and comments from the readers of 'doug&Sylvia'. There is a general plot and storyline, but admittedly, anything can happen since doug&Sylvia is very much an appurtenance to A-Word-A-Day.The story takes place in a Southern California Suburb. It explores in depth both preternatural and mundane aspects of living within fifteen feet of neighbors on at least 2 sides of the revered property lines, fences, hedges and walls. In an attempt to conquer the barriers, our fractured hero, douglas, tunnels from beneath his garage to the underspace of his neighbors' properties and beyond. There are several characters, so there's no lack of anacoluthons and what might be called offensive language or violent acts. This cautionary note is for those who might be acerbated at coarse language, violence, or the personal physical interactions humans usually have with each other. |
