Artist description
The Shaggy Boys are a 7 man a cappella group just releasing their second album "Take Luck". A Cappella means performing and making sounds with the voice only. The Shaggy Boys strive to reach past the typical a cappella group and mimic other instruments, including percussion, in most of their tunes. A focus on original songs instead of covers makes the SB's different from most collegiate a cappella groups, showing that the Boys aren't afraid to stick their necks out and show what they're made of. Look for the Shaggy Boys on the Best of College A Cappella 2001 disc with their version of the Yes song, "Owner of a Lonely Heart"! The new Shaggy Boys cd, 'Take Luck', has been nominated for THREE Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards for best male collegiate male album, best song (Owner...), and best arrangement (Dave Matthews Band, 'What Would You Say'). |
