Artist description The Realside is the first solo project started by Terry McClain. It is truly a solo effort, being that one person writes, records, produces and performs all instruments and vocals. The Realside started with 4 track demos in 1998 in his old garage outside NASH-VEGAS, then Terry moved to Memphis. There he would develop what would become The Realside while playing in a jazz/jam/world/fusion band called Fausto. Attaining much comradre around Memphis' local scene, Terry recorded his first self-produced cd, The Realside:Intro To. After going to NY in Sept.2000, The Realside recordings continued, recorded the same way but experimenting with the modern electronic & aggressive sounds. With a full 10 tracks - one moment your thinking of the band Steely Dan in their funkier moments, then there's more acoustic based songs like Life Of A Lover and Coyote which have a similar feel to the Eagles. At his most adventurous latin rhythms are unleashed with the song the Hacienda. It's impressive and from his picture it looks like he's been held up in his studio bunker shunning the sunlight conjuring up these musical delights for us.
