Artist History
Jehst has been up in this thing for a very long time. Just check the credits on the back of some old records. Starting as a writer, this Northerner has progressed to incorporate MCing and production into his arsenal. After hooking up with Evil Ed he helped to form the YNR collective and associated label he subsequently dropped his premonitions EP as the labels first release. The dept of the lyrics belied his young age and established his as someone to not mess with. Jehst has continued to increase his presence performing alongside Braintax on the Travel Show tour and has had guest appearances on Task Force, Braintax and Universal Soldiers records as well as becoming an integral member of the Champions of Nature group alongside MCs like Lewis Parker, Supa T, Profound, Apollo and AM etc.Now he is back, and stepping up his game as one of the talented stable of artists at Low Life Records. His first EP for them, the 'High Plains Drifter' contains some cuts, which are bound to become classics, and sees Jehst cover a variety of styles and topics, from dark underground tales of woe to head nodding club bangers.Watch out for more from Jehst and Low Life in the 21st century. |
