Artist description The Live recording represents the earliest work and first public performance of this duo. Brought up in the Northern Woods of Minnesota, the songs are earthy and sincere. Somewhere between Blues and Alternative, the Lyrics speak of coming of age in a modern world. Inner workings of relationships are explored against a backdrop of a subtle and engaging accoustic vibe. Recently, a new member has joined the group on electric guitar. A virtuosic and creative force that will help to bring the sound in new directions. Look for new songs to be added soon.

Artist History The Rohr Band was formed in 1999 when Matthew Rohr (Guitar-Vocals) began writing songs and exchanging tape recordings with his brother Daniel (Bass). They exchanged tapes for a time and realizing that the tunes were taking shape, decided to perform the songs live at a Cafe in Brainerd Minnesota. The Eclectic Cafe hosts twice-weekly "alternative sobriety support meetings" [See the links page for a link to the cafe.] and invites artists to perform after the meetings providing "an alternative to the party scene".
