Artist History
It all started in the March of 1964… Jesse (bass) and Mason (guitar) were half of a Backstreet Boys cover band that had just broken up. They soon stumbled upon Matt (vocals, guitar), a porn star going by the name of Homey Tyler who thought he would dabble in songwriting. The three joined together to create music, since they all had eleven toes. The band took the name The Loudspeakers, derived from a dream that Matt had, in which Craig Finn of Lifter Puller arrived on a flaming pie. “For now on you shall be called The Passing Gasses,” said Craig Finn. Matt replied “Screw that, we’ll be The Loudspeakers!” The band is a trio, using various live drummers: Eric Reiter (Scuz, The SemiGods), Tommy Tousey (Flora, Inner City Sasquatch), Nick Vittum (The Blonde Alibi). |
