Artist description
The Ghost of You is a sliver of pleasure and pain, a mirrored consciousness. We don't want to be your plastic, manufactured sound. What you get here is something different- a little bit of reality. We pull from a myriad selection of different elements in an attempt to forge a sound that is unique. It is a reflection of who we are. The songs we give you are a form of sacrifice. What we present here is The Ghost of You. |

Artist History
The Ghost of You came into realization several years ago, culminating a diverse selection of songs. It has been an evolving process that has gone through several incarnations. Throughout it all, The Ghost of You has always sought to push the envelope, exploring new territory. Originally formed by two members, Rich Schneider and Justin Mathews, the Ghost of You was simply an ambitious project to make songs of a revolutionary character and sound. Under the moniker "The Phoenix", we sought to produce sounds unlike any heard before- and quite possibly succeeded. Due to constraints and the accessibility of the music, this project soon fell by the wayside. With the addition of guitarist Mike Day, the project took on a new approach. Literally hundreds of songs were written over a period of a few short years, strengthening the vision originally set. But as a group, we were still in need of a "live" sound, and the search for another member continued. Jay Cobb fit the bill. With the current lineup intact, The Ghost of You have focused on finalizing the original material and adding to it. Currently we are working on new songs, and expect to be able to present them in due time. Feel free to explore our website, as new additions are currently being added. |
