Artist description
A cartoonish, gutter-humor oriented punk band, "Poet Jester" is a band that stems from a warped sense of humor, about anyone's common everyday frustrations. The songs are laced with hilarious toilet humor, crazy relationship mockerys, and celebrity bashing just to name few. Soley designed to make you laugh, and go, "What the ??", it's all an act with an attitude. It's fun to watch the expression on peoples faces when they see how obnoxious this stuff is! |

Artist History
With a hatred for most everything on the radio, we use the music styles we like, as a forum to mouth off in humorous ways. Songs like "Smash the Pumpkins" speak for themselves, while "Punk rock Girl" is a story about the epitemy of today's trendy counter culture youth. We do this for fun & laughs, nothing more, nothing less. The lyrics are comical fictions that have nothing to do with our lives, so if you get the joke, that's all that matters. Though one avenue that DID take us seriously, was the Sony Playstation game "Road Rash Jailbreak" that featured the intrumental, "Cyclops," which was submitted and ultimately selected in an unsigned band contest for the game, and appears on the game's soundtrack as well. "Bring on the Barf Man," was also used in the popular PC game "Red Alert 2," as a background track for one of it's movie clips. Press Reviews
Poet Jester, is full of the kind of stuff only high-schoolers and Howard Stern fans would get a kick out of. Fart jokes abound. Songs like "You Could Lick Nuts" and "Take a Shit" are about as intelligent as their titles. The only problem: they have such catchy hooks that you can't help but spew along with him. While trashing the Smashing Pumpkins is about as relevant as an "I Like Ike" button, it's hard to get the "Smash the Pumpkins" thrash-and-shout chorus out of your head. "Punk Rock Girl" is a dead-on spoof of both the Lemonhead's Evan Dando and all the would-be hardcore kids roaming the tough streets of Summerlin. And "All You Love Is...," is a total pop-punk money shot; the track contains almost as much bounce as a worn-out box spring. Then again, when they start throwing out such intellectual fodder as, "You can lick my butt, you used me you pool table slut," ya have to wonder if any of that stuff really matters. Probably not. --Jeff Inman, Las Vegas Weekly |
