Artist description
San Francisco's MECHANIZM combine huge grooves with intense, stick-in-your-head melodies and powerfully punishing guitar - a heavy, yet accessible sound that is impossible to deny. Incredibly talented 2 guitar band with deep, powerful lyrics and animpressive lead vocalist. This band has it all, great songs, members and are playing the venues and shows to back 'em up. |

Press Reviews
This band is just, just, just, well you be the judge... Incredible is the best word I can utter.! Its wonderful! Its fantastic! I keep listening to it and it keeps getting better and better. Like Machinehead meets Radiohead. I can stack it up against the best of my CD collection which has been 23 years of careful culling in the making. Serpentine is one of the best hooks I've heard in years, and the way the vocals finally lift above the grunge in Creation is just an emotional resolution thats hard to describe. Its like I was waiting for it all along. If they are headed in the direction of Creation that would be superb both in a vocal sense and the fact that its four and a half minutes. Choices, Serpentine, and Temple all cry out for more, at least I'm crying out. More! More! Feed me Maurice! I knew liked it immediately. I was a little temperate in my judgement anyway, as is prudent. Besides I express myself more accurately writing than I do speaking. Over the weekend the gritty, ripping lower end began to resolve itself into its voices. It has a tension and power, and art, that reminds my of a gymnast pulling an iron cross. It just grabs my lower midsection now and gives it a rocket ride. If this sounds like kissing ass it isn't. Anyway, I would gladly bust a big smacker on their behind, figuratively speaking of course (no homoeroticism here), if they would make more of this, make it longer (damn some people's short attention span). Even if you like them short make lots of them, lots and lots of them, dig deep, work hard, go forth with speed. Mechanizm has the utmost of my encouragement and support. They are on their way... catch them while you can!~Otto Voss - BayGuardian |
