    Artist description
Inspired primarily by the incredible musicianship of Primus, Low Key forges an identity in a light-hearted, but often insightful music land of fun rock. Low Key aims to venture away from the traditional radio band mentality of bar chords, over dramatic vocals, and straight beats by focusing on the true musicality of what they do. Each member seeks to fully master their respective instruments in ways that few have before. From incredible slap-bass funk madness to chill groves, Low Key covers a vast array of musical spectrum. Give these three guys a listen and you’ll soon be turning your radio off and their CD on.

    Artist History
Scott Clayton (Bass) and Dan Ungaro (Drums) jammed together frequently during their tenure at Alen High School, though each was involved in other bands playing mainstream hard rock. Little did they know that these jammings would lead to super-stardom with Low Key. Dan moved to Colorado after high school but decided shortly thereafter that he belonged in Texas playing the music that he loved. Scott and Dan then formed Low Key and began a long search for a guitarist who could make sense out of their crazy music. As fate would have it, Scott played on UTD’s golf team, where he met guitar and golf prodigy Nick Grimmer. Even though Scott was very angry with Nick from many beatings in golf, he extended an invitation to join Low Key. The three of them then proceeded to rent a studio room in Dallas to practice and write material. They haven’t looked back since, and they are looking forward to playing for sell out crowds at large arenas and having Primus and Metallica open for them.
    Group Members
Scott Clayton--Bassist extraordinaire (and lead vocalist). Never have you seen a guy slap a string with so much grace as this big goofy guy.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nick Grimmer--Guitarist prodigy (and backup vocals). How can one guy know so many cheesy cover songs and still be in this band???--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dan Ungaro--Drummer to a T (no vocals whatsoever). The only guy without a microphone and probably with good reason.
