Artist History
Budding Holly is essentially the alias of one singer / songwriter Jonathan Alexander who recorded his Alternative Indie Pop in his studio in Belmont N.C. Budding Holly debuted in 1998 with the spare, primitive self-titled cassette release only. With three more tapes issued a year later. Budding Holly began an advancement toward more traditional song craft. Changing his medium to CD the subsequent 7 song EP The Cobbler was his most well rounded effort yet, employing a stranger sense of melody while remaining true to the trademark barebones atmosphere. His first full length CD Shine on You Crazy Borax Burger was released in March of 2002 . Alexander Paige |
