Artist History
David Berntson formed the roots of the band in 1991 in Lisbon, North Dakota as THROBBIN NOGGIN. Known for their three-chord garage sound, the band soon changed their name to VICIOUS INNUENDO and released several songs independently. After a short hiatus, the band came back for a now legendary show at the Teamsters Hall in Fargo, North Dakota in January of 1995,this time without Volk, but adding Jeff Fox on drums. A few months later, VI, as they were widely known, added Chris (Disco) Berg on bass. Berg and Fox left VI, and in late 1996 formed SINISTER PIG, with Berntson and Scott Hagberg. The band’s sound became more pop-like,and in early 1997 Jeff Fox was replaced by Steve Schultz. In mid 1998, Hagberg was replaced with Greg (Mick) Rhodes and the name of the band waschanged to SHOOT LUCY, after Berg’s dog, who isn’t too popular with the other members of the band. In June of 1999 shoot lucy replaced Rhodes on lead guitar with Dave Nahan, The band's sound become more countrified, and they began to perform more regularly. |
