Artist History
The combination that would eventually become Rockwell began about four years ago when Ben Stucki (bass) and Kevin Castleman (guitar) got together to play some music. They passed out pamphlets to recruit other would-be rockers, and Brian Crawford answered the call to play guitar. At this time however, they still did not have a drummer or singer, but the future Rockwell pressed on in DIY fashion. Ben assumed the role of singer, but quickly added Brett Carr on vocals. Brett had a friend who played drums so he was added to the roster. However, just prior to the band's first gig at the Beech High School talent show, the drummer contracted mono and Daniel Hadaway was brought in as a temporary replacement. Daniel's temporary status then became permanent. At the beginning of their set at the talent show, Brett turns to friend Ryan Stimpson who was in the audience and asks, "What are the words again?" Ryan replies, "You're screwed," and shortly thereafter takes over the position as lead singer. By now the band is comprised of it's current lineup of Ryan Stimpson on lead vocals, Brian Crawford on guitar, Kevin Castleman on guitar, Ben Stucki on bass, and Daniel Hadaway on drums. They chose the name Rockwell for the American artist Norman Rockwell and as a statement of the band's purpose - Rock for the masses, and rock well. |

Press Reviews
"Rockwell is Nashville's best-kept secret. Their live show contains a fun and energetic stage performance layered over beautiful, sometimes melodic, sometimes poppy guitar riffs and a collaboration of bass and drums that keeps everyone moving; with a finishing touch of heart melting lyrics and a voice that anyone could take a liking to."-Amanda Cooper Starpoint Promotions |
