Artist History
MYLAR was originally formed in western New York and relocated to New York City after playing several shows. Once in New York City, MYLAR went through several line-up changes before arriving at Adri Ellen (drums), Mae Reyes (guitar), Mary Saragoussi (bass & voice), and Simone Smith (guitar). After recording a four-song EP and playing shows throughout New York City and surrounding areas, MYLAR parted ways with Simone Smith and has been a three-piece band ever since. CBGB's, the Continental, Don Hills, North Six, Meow Mix, L'amour, Castle Heights, and Obsessions are some of the venues that MYLAR has performed at.

Press Reviews
"...Mylar has captured an unconventional sound, while at the same time they have maintained a kick-ass beat...their style is nothing short of inventive and razor sharp."
--Jerry Del Priore, Purr Magazine (www.purrmag.com)
++++++ "... From their punk attitude...to their metal fretwork, to the offbeat time signatures, these girls have got a lot going on inside each song. Harsh on the outside, Mylar also has a good feel for taking a step back and letting some tranquility take control before the audio onslaught...if you're looking for some aggressive female artists taking it up a notch, check out Mylar."
