    Artist History
Hardy Gold, songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and harmonica player, had a 1987 song, "Nothing 'Bout Being Free," that made 60 college station playlists. The song took dead aim at Pres. Reagan's brain-dead braintrust's Iran-Contra crimes, and included excerpts from the congressional hearings. Since then, Hardy has gone underground, crafting music, and in his free time, prosecuting white collar crime for the California Attorney General's office. He plays coffee houses in the San Diego area when encouraged to do so. The 2000 CD, "Goldrush," represents his best recordings to date, accompanied by friends whose day gigs are similar to Hardy's (including one federal agent (Adrian Bubb), a prosecutor of elder abuse (Brian Frankel), a Superior Court Judge (Carol Lam), and full-time musician, Nico Gutierrez.
