Artist History I have been into music for as long as i can remember. I suppose my musical influences came from artists such as The Beatles, ELO and The Buggles, all of which should give an indication to my age which i am not prepared to divulge. In the early nineties i bought a nightclub and discovered Rave music. I was instantly hooked on the dance music and decided i wanted to be a DJ more than a club owner, so i got rid of the club (along with my partner who couldnt keep his hands out of the cash box) and set out to make my name on the club scene as a DJ. DJ Michael Angello was born. I was buying mostly Italian and Spanish imports because these were the sounds that made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end . Unfortunately in the North East of England this type of music was not appreciated and work on the club circuit was extremely hard to find. However, I did occasional work and found that everywhere i played , my music went down a storm. ',. I wasn`t about to play music that i didn`t like just to get work so for a while i became a bedroom DJ making tapes, thousands of them literally. The demand for these tapes was incredible, no one was playing the music i had, my years of buying imports was certainly paying off. In 1998 I applied and got the job of DJ in Oscars nightclub Calla Millor, Majorca, and for three months had the time of my life. I was still buying records but was coming to the conclusion that most of the tunes i was being offered now were definately inferior to those which i was buying just a year or two earlier. I was also moving from what was Euro into Trance Dance. I knew that i could come up with better musical ideas and fate was about to give me a helping hand. On one of my trips back to the UK i met a dancer called Rachel. She incidentaly became the singer on 'THE DREAM HOUSE ANTHEM' , she had heard of me through the thousands of tapes that were circulating and she loved my music tape mixes, she said she was working with a producer called Paul Cook and that he had a recording studio,he was looking for someone with similar music tastes who could inject fresh ideas into the music he was producing and if i wanted, she would arrange a meeting with him for me, she also told me that she had allready mentioned me to him and that he had heard some of my tapes which he loved. I met Paul and we instantly hit it off, one week after i met him we had finished our first ever joint production " Love Forever", we dicovered that we had the perfect partnership, i would come up with the music ideas and he would put the finishing touches on production, being the brilliant technician that he is. In the latter part of 98 we produced our second piece of work that was inspired by the death of a very dear friend of mine DJ Steve Parry, i decided to call this tune "The Quest" for Heavenly sound waves. We were so happy with this production that we did a Trance remix of the Dance version and decided to have it pressed, we sold all of the 2000 copies by the end of the year and we were elated with the feedback we recieved. Towards mid 1999 i had heard an American guy utter a sentence and i quote,"With it you can become master of time and space", that sentence inspired me to write our third piece of work and i decided to call it " KNOWLEDGE", this tune seemed to come from nowhere, i mean it flowed and i remember Paul saying to me, "Where the hell has this come from, i cant wait to hear our next production", KNOWLEDGE took exactly two days from start to completed tune and we were over the moon with it, we knew instantly that this was going to be our second release but we needed a B side for the vinyl, i had thought about writing a tune with vocals allthough i wasn`t really into vocals at the time, but eventually paul and i got our heads together and co wrote the vocals for, " THE DREAM HOUSE ANTHEM" which was really about me and what music means to me, at the same time another friend of Paul was taking an interest in what we were doing and was keen to work with us, he was MC DAP C and he was about to become a member of what is now known as The Dream House Crew, a name i came up with after Paul had said to me, "what genre would you call our music", i replied Dream House.Dap C helped on the writing of the Anthem vocals,mainly his part in them. We had our B side but to be honest it was really another A side and MC DAP C was part of the team ,his vocals accompanied with Rachels set the tune on fire. We had 2000 copies pressed and sold the lot . Many tunes followed, "Feel My Love", " Need Your Love"," Contact", etc etc, All with great potential. It was Mid 2000 when Craig MC DAP C was working in Crete and he was approached by a girl called KERRY SCOTTS, she turned out to be the main dancer for Daphne and Celeste, who had a couple of hit tunes over here in England. She was in a club that Craig was playing and he happened to play "THE DREAM HOUSE ANTHEM", Kerry heard it and was bowled over by the tune, she approached Craig and asked who had wrote it, he told her that i had and that he was the male vocalist on the tune, she said to him that she was about to launch her own solo singing career and she would love for us to write her a debut song. To cut a long story short we wrote "Don`t tell me lies" Original Trance version and we also remixed a Dance version. She submitted both to her record company for release but they declined, however they said that they were interested in "THE DREAM HOUSE ANTHEM" and if she could get us to remix it with herself on vocals they could be interested in it. This we did and to date have had little response from them. In 2001 Paul met a girl named LUISA J, who has the most incredible voice, she loves our work and indicated she would love to work with us. The result being what i think is our best work to date, and the track is called "Mean`t To Be", i firmly believe it was !!. The original chill out version inspired us to do the Full On Club mix which is rocking the dance floors wherever it is played, we had 5000 copies produced on vinyl and if we are to get anywhere in the music bussines this track should be our transport to success.
