Comprised of four bluegrass die-hard musicians, each member brings years of bluegrass performance to the streets...over 100 years in total. Dedicated to a love of music and community, each member brings incomparable showmanship to the stage. The band's first self-produced album "Steel Rails In The Tennessee Night" has been well received by radio stations throughout the United States. Featuring a blend of traditional bluegrass standards by the likes of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, or the Stanley Brothers, the band's forte is a healthy diet of original tunes about hard-times, love, death, and home. Champion fiddler Brad Kennedy and his driving bowing technique define the band's instrumental selections from breakdowns to classic waltzes. Whether on stage at the Chicago Country Music Festival in Grant Park, or a bluegrass festival in an Indiana cornfield, the band gives audiences a heavy dose of energy and soul. Chicago is a cold unforgiving blues town and the Chicago Bluegrass Band brings tough hard-driving bluegrass |
