Press Reviews
This show, located at St. James Lutheran Church was very good. Saccharin, The Chuck Taylor Conspiracy, Bad Influence, and blindHERO were the bands that played. Saccharin, with there unusual sounding slap base played "F.O.D." and "Basket Case" by Green Day, sounding almost exact. The Chuck Taylor Conspiracy played songs off their cd such as "I Know" and "Unfortunate". There band consisted of Two females, lead singer and drummer, and three guys, bass and guitars. There sound was very original and sounded like no other local band that I have heard. Bad Influence played many original songs and a few covers such as, "Chick Magnet" by MXPX and other songs by Blink 182. They put on a good performance playing around eight songs with crowd singing along while playing MXPX's "Chick Magnet". The headliners of the show where blindHERO, there three man band played thirteen songs. One of the thirteen songs was a drum solo by Jon Van Dine. This solo lasted around two minutes and was extremely appreciated by the crowd. Some of the songs they played were, "We will be", "Mint", "Aliens Exist" "Used", "I'm Scared" and seven more. During the set an atrocity happened, the guitarists string snapped. The problem was fixed when the guitarist from Bad Influence let him borrow his guitar.-a concert review by wiredweb.cjb.net |
