Artist History The Klute started slamming in the Palm Beach County, Florida slam scene. He was the first alternate on West Palm Beach's inaugural slam team in 2000. He left West Palm Beach and came to the Valley of he Sun in Arizona. He joined the Mesa slam community, and made the Mesa National Slam team in 2002 and 2003. He has performed for high schools, college audiences, and poetry festivals and slams all across these United States. He was also awared the title of "Slammer of the Year" in 2001 by the folks at Essenzaslam.
