Artist description
With simple and complex sounds, The Color Experiment forcefully develops their own instrumental syntax--extracting potent elements from many musical genres and integrating them into their own. The array of unique timbres, harmonies, and contrasting melody lines gives The Color Experiment a distinguished sound, reminiscent of obscure, underground, experimental fusion. "Bubbly," "bouncey," "calculated musical emotion," and even "sophisticated cacaphone," are descriptions of their style. However, it is in person that one can truly identify and witness The Color Experiment's earnest will for compositional prowess. Throughout the past few months of The Color Experiment's existence, the audience, as well as the four band members, Adam Colucci (drummer), Dana Powers (guitarist), Gregg Savage (guitarist), Jay Quintin (bassist), have all shown dedication to the music making it a positive and intimate experience. --Blake F. Notch (Assistant Editor of "The Franklin Editorials") |
