Artist description michael walker is a multi instrumentalist origionally from winnipeg, canada, he now resides all over the US, mostly in LA. his song writing is thoughtfull and dark. his voice is reminiscant of elliot smith, and nick drake. his songs are made with thick chords and lush falsetto harmonies.

Artist History started playing the drums when he was 10. played in his fathers church. picked up guitar soon after and began writing songs. '93 he moved with his family to fresno, CA where he went to high school. during high school began playing drums in punk rock bands with his friends, fresno bands such as Manalarm, Banzai, and The Furies. after high school his families visa to be in the US expired and they were forced to move back to canada. michael lived in canada for 2 1/2 yrs touring and playing with numerous bands. first touring canada with a country artist named Melody Dawn for the better part of a year. next michael moved to Vancouver where he began writing and recording some of his own songs. he also began to play drums in a church in south vancouver. there he hooked up with english rocker Graham Ord whom he began playing drums with.. s with. through the same church he met a girl named naomi sider, a female indie-pop artist. they recorded an album together in seattle which was produced by Pedro the Lion's, David Bazan (who also plays on the album). Next mike's dreams came true when he met an awsome american girl named stacy, and he moved to california to be with her. back in california michael began writing and recording lots more of his own music. now michael is finally putting together his own band and will be releasing an album on the 3FM record label. he is also playing drums with an indie rock band out of fresno called Bel and the Dragon (www.belandthedragon.com) who knows whats next?
